Born and raised in the small town of Brusly right outside Baton Rouge, Lindsey T. Brown, MD, values community and close relationships. Starting when you’re young, Dr. Brown gets to know you so she can best serve your health and well-being throughout your life. Preventive care is a personal interest as she addresses the whole person, your physical, mental and even emotional concerns.
As you get to know Dr. Brown, you’ll learn she grew up raising lambs with her dad for the 4-H program at school. Community involvement at a young age led to her interest in being a doctor. After high school at St. Joseph’s Academy in Baton Rouge, Dr. Brown attended Millsaps College in Jackson, Miss., where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
Her medical education was at LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport School of Medicine. She finished her family medicine residency with the Family Medicine Rural Residency Program at North Caddo Medical Center (NCMC) in Vivian.
During medical school, Dr. Brown met her husband, Parker Brown, a small business owner in the Shreveport-Bossier area. She is excited to make northwest Louisiana her home and have her practice become part of the wonderful community of Benton.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Brown loves to binge watch Netflix with her husband, her dog, Andi, and cats, Jinxey and Roosevelt. She also enjoys needlepointing, exercising and reading.
